This system exists for one reason above all others: protection from Mort, the infamous cosmic toe-sucker who prowls the void, searching for exposed phalanges to slurp like forbidden noodles.

			Mort cannot penetrate Moccasinia’s afterlife at least before the time skip, some fragments have spent a century trying to get rid of this special realm and it's leader in hopes to destroy the heavens that are protecting B.O.O.T.S. owned Moccasinia from Mort's foot fetish. For the sacred land has sealed with buckles, reinforced stitching, and eternal orthotic judgment. Any soul bearing Móckasiin’s fragment is automatically recalled the moment life ends, pulled heel-first into safety before Mort can whisper “nice toes” into the darkness. There, souls rest in eternal comfort, their essence strengthening the Great Lord with every return, while Mort gnaws helplessly on the concept of sandals outside the gates. Thus, in Moccasinia, death is not the end—but a final, blessed step into well-fitted protection. Dotar Surk is said to have been one of the few to invade the lands after the time skip.
