A leitmotif (/ˌlaɪtmoʊˈtiːf/), also technically synonymous with a melody (from Greek μελῳδία (melōidía) 'singing, chanting'), or a tune, is any and all linear successions of musical tones that creates a memetic single entity that subconsciously associates itself with any particular person, place, event, or idea thematically. In other terms, it is the smallest structural aural unit that possesses any form symbolic identity.
Historically, leitmotifs and melodies can be understood as one of humanity's oldest and most enduring forms of shared information in real life. Because melodies are memorable and often become "earworms," they can persist within the human mind without conscious effort, making music resemble what modern thinkers describe as memes: ideas or patterns that replicate by being remembered, repeated, and transmitted unwillingly by the host.
As mentioned above, a meme is any self-replicating cultural pattern that spreads through minds. Songs, stories, symbols, beliefs, and rituals all compete for attention and survival by encouraging people to remember and share them. Leitmotifs and melodies may be the strongest and most successful memes in real life because of how much they have gotten control deep within the subconscious aspects of human cognition, allowing them to endure across generations and cultures.
Within the Omniverse Saga, music plays an especially significant role due to it being the main sustaining force that holds the Omniverse from mere oblivion. Just as melodies can lodge themselves in a human mind as persistent earworms, the eternal songs throughout all of fiction reinforces itself within the Omniverse.
This page includes all the Omniversal leitmotifs and melodies that consist throughout fiction and memetically take host in real life within the M⊙nadic Avatar’s subconsciousness. Associations or musical pieces with the same Omniversal theme and conception are split into "parts", each part having one leitmotif or melody.
Dark Matter
The Dark Matter motif is the memetic aural theme for the hypothetical main antagonist of all fiction, nicknamed Ts’ng-Thra-Thot-Akath for now, and their legion and association to that of dark matter. As of now, the motif is historically first known to have entered into the human psyche in the year 1999 but its possible that an earlier account of the meme of Dark Matter has appeared earlier in human history. Similar to the character who's motif it shares, not much is known about the motif's meaning itself apart from its tragic and dark implications about mental deterioration, trauma, and grief.
