Tobias Cranapple III (トビアス・クラナップル三世, Tobiasu kuranappuru san-sei), formerly known as Fanboy (ファンボーイ, Fanbō), and now known as Boy is a hyperactive, eccentric and retarded superhero-in-training and one of the two titular main protagonists (alongside his best friend, Chum Chum) of the Fanboy & Chum Chum franchise. They live in a tree house in the middle of an urban neighbourhood. He and Chum Chum are vigilantes of Galaxy Hills and have been doing so for more than 4 months and 20 days as of the beginning of the entire franchise. They protect the city from Skullgirls and other threats from within its municipality.

Fanboy often enjoys taking credit of a successful defence. Often gloating how he at one time stopped that Skullgirl with just his thumb. While he is very content and grateful with all that he has. He is envious of one thing that his best friend has; and that's coochie. Why? Because Chum Chum be hookin' up like 10 bad bitches a day, the closest thing Fanboy gets in his whole life, is a punch in the dick from Yo.

At school his grades suffer greatly because most of the time he would either sleep in school, get distracted by Chum Chum, or watching Filia from outside his school window, studying a girl's school opposite his, day dreaming about her sitting and farting on his face. Never does he actually have the motivation to do stupid school shit like learning about rational numbers or ratios, if there are two things he hates, its numbers and rational people.

He generally is considered an A-Tier character in the game. His pros are that his attacks have strong reach and are easy to pressure characters away from him, he can also chain decently, making him a nasty fencer. His cons are that Skipper, Kyle, and Chum Chum exists and they will body him, he also has no ranged attacks and can be more easily punished than most other A tier characters.

Fanboy and Chum Chum: Europe's Most Wanted

They go to Slovenia for a holiday, however the femboy energy of the nation had been turning Fanboy into a catgirl, Chum Chum in this adventure is on the race to reach their Bulgarian penpal who knows how to cure Fanboy of the catgirl plague before it's too late. Doing the Mario and Mexican smuggling techniques to bypass the many Balkan countries which they learn about each one in a 2 episode sized story. However this arc does nothing and we later transition into the next one.

Fanboy And Chum Chum: The Masturbation Diaries

Fanboy and his friend become embroiled in uncovering eldtrich conspiracies and had learnt that Kyle and The N.E.R.D.S have been being douches this whole time, to keep an angry ancient group of demons known as Neco Arc away from plaguing the world in cringe. However the internet acting as a real life Necronomicon that it is, allows Neco Arc to reach ever closer to their world, as her dark influence inspires many cults, attempting to bring her to destroy the world.

We see the duo, Kyle, and occasionally Dr. Gastronomical putting a stop to these cringy ass cults from proliferating her strengthening existence and allowing her and her eldritch brethren no quarter into seducing humanity to their will.

Later he is found beefing with Bob Bobowski who wanted to have to fight Fanboy over a garbage fetish. The two fought but in the end, he lost and had to retreat to the Treehouse. Some wacky episodes later he found Kyle in a dragon tf Area and rescued him to put him back to Oz's House. In the end they defeated Neo EDP445, Zigra, Parappa, and Chop Chop Master Onion in the SECOND FINAL LACKLUSTER BATTLE.

Death

Him and Chum Chum were killed by Mr. Bean caused by a hit and run with his car across Galaxy Hills. The boys attempted to stopped his automobile with their wedgie powers. But the power of the car was too much for Chum Chum. Ripping his arms off. Fanboy lets go of the grip. But it was too late. Mr. Bean was behind fanboy and gave him a wedgie, before swinging him towards their home tower. Chum Chum attempt to charge head first towards the demon. But with a finger point at Chum Chum. He exploded to viscera before landing the attack on the Englishman. Unfazed by the explosion. Instead he turned to look deviously at The rubble Fanboy laid. Now at his most powerful form with anger. Fanboy flew towards Mr.Bean shooting projectiles and explosives at him. Mr bean's result from the bombardment was a look of boredom. He swooped down and threw a flurry of lightning fast acrobatic punches and kicks. But Bean lightly bobbed, weaved and blocked some of the blows with one palm of his hand. Using the other to aid in yawning. After finished yawning, he he counter ed Fanboy with one uppercut, sending him flying for 10 seconds. Desperate, Fanboy charged up his biggest brain blast. But that time it took left Fanboy vulnerable to the car that ended up running him over before unleashing the brain blast, flattening him. Bean rolled up the boy sucked his soul with his laser eyes, and used his flattened carcass as his toilet mat. Ending the two's story.

During the Sex parasite apocalypse, fanboy survived the infection by the sex parasite, due to his absence of coochie in his life.

Personality

Fanboy (aka Boy) is a free-spirited dumbass and one who is always ready for anything! He and Chum Chum are always doing lots of fun shit together. They have several homies and will occasionally be strong and fearless together with the power of friendship. Like Chum Chum, Fanboy enjoys Frosty Freezy Freezes (a slushie drink based off of their favourite superhero, Man-Arctica), and is bullied by Boog. He is extremely hyperactive and loves sugar based compounds. Fanboy is unaware that he is hated by many people, such as Lenny, Kyle, and other normies. He and Chum Chum unintentionally annoy normies often, and even though they respond in a bad way, he and his buddy always think of them as friends. Fanboy claims to be good with animals, and even knows how to care for them. However, he does have a tendency to get mad. If he is bullied and tormented enough, he becomes filled with W R A T H.

Although Fanboy is usually nice, he also take things too far at times. Sometimes, he can be petty, rude, and arrogant. At one point, when the duo was sick, Fanboy intentionally sneezed on Chum Chum's face after Chum Chum asks him not to (Cold War). Another example is when he tried to take lemonade and commit theft from Yo and Lupe's lemonade stand, because he was annoyed they had their lemonade stand across the street from his and Chum Chum's (Battle of the Stands). He continually harassed Kyle under the pretence that Kyle wasn't really a wizard, leading to the latter's limit and motive to harm the former (Wizboy). Though Chum Chum usually accompanies Fanboy in these antics, Fanboy is usually shown to be more responsible for the duo's problems, as he is more prone to misbehaving or breaking the rules.

Physical Appearance

Fanboy is a tall ass, bug-eyed, thin human with pale skin and a faint blush. He has a cylinder-shaped head with a flat top, large ears, thick brows, and large eyes. In Secret Club, he is revealed to have short golden-brown hair with two cowlicks at his crown and his initials "FB" shaved onto the back of his head. He's particularly proud of his buckteeth and shows them off with every grin.

	Fanboy wears his beloved superhero outfit wherever he goes. To school, to the store, even in the shower. It consists of a short sleeved, lime green unitard sporting his black and white emblem on the chest, a violet satin spandex cowl, cape with three arched dips, gloves with two matching spikes running along the outer arms, black high-top covers, and, of course, trademark tighty-whities.
	In the pilot short, Fanboy's superhero outfit sports minor differences. His unitard is long-sleeved and a light greyish purple instead of lime green. The mask, gloves, and cape are tinted blue, and the emblem's background is yellow, most likely a nod to the classic Batman design.
	Fanboy's formal outfit consists of a purple tailcoat, lime-green dress shirt, lime-green cuffs, purple satin top hat, and a bowtie. His lime-green unitard, cowl, gloves, tighty-whities, and shoes remain.
	As a pirate, Fanboy wears a captain's hat, an eye patch over his right eye, has a peg on his left leg (while his real lower leg is tied to his thigh) and has a black beard on his face. The suit remains.
	Fanboy's nurse costume is a white zipper shirt with red cross on the left side and a miniskirt to match, silver gloves and high heel boots, and a nurse's cap with red hair wig. His mask remains the same.
	When Fanboy disguises himself as a girl for Yo's slumber party, he wears a lime-green and black checkered midriff shirt, a light blue tutu with a black and pink checkered belt, and hot pink legwarmers. The right one is smaller than the left. He has a blonde wig with a hot pink hairband with white polka dots, and a curve swoop to the left. His jewelry includes hot pink earrings in the shape of orbs, and white, green and red bangles on his right wrist. He now has hot pink lipstick and blush, and the fake eyelashes were borrowed from his nurse outfit. His mask, gloves and shoes remain the same.

Powers, Skills, and Abilities

Superpowers

Two of his most common powers are flight and strength, as he is seen flying several times over the course of the series and can even lift heavy things. When he pulls out his underwear and releases it, they release "Sonic Waves", causing the entire place to vibrate and knock others back. It also breaks ice. He also said he has x-ray vision, but this was not further explained. The most important power of all is the Super Punch; he needs Chum Chum to perform it. When he gets in his underwear, they glow and spin around, finally slingshotting around and punching the villain. He also has weapons, like his glass eye. When it aims at the right time, it fires a red ray that causes metal poles to temporarily bend.

Acting

"Wizboy"

Fanboy is first seen impersonating as a wizard, whom he calls "Wizboy". He did this due to extreme skepticism over Kyle's wizardry. The first trick he did was a trick in which he holds up one finger each, then adds the other to the opposite hand to hold up two. The second trick had the volunteer start to pull his finger, then get farted instantly. He faked a phonebook as his book of spells, pretending the ads were "magic words", and even had Chum Chum fake-levitate a ketchup bottle. His last trick was the lame cut-off finger trick, which caused Chum Chum to faint.

According to the script, there were a few elements that Fanboy used as a fake wizard that didn't make the episode, such as using a bendy straw as a wand and bending a spoon with his mind (literally).

Cross-dressing

The nurse disguise is the most common one. It was first seen in "Pick a Nose", where he impersonated as the school nurse Pam (who was later first seen in "Lice Lice Baby"). where he faked a disease of "Nose Lice". After luring Chum Chum to the nurse's office, he said to him: "the only way to be sure your nose isn't crawling with lice is to send it out to have it professionally picked". Chum Chum was prepared to have his (Fanboy's) nose removed, but at the last minute, Fanboy sneezes, revealing the disguise.

In "The Tell-Tale Toy", Fanboy dressed as a nurse while working to repair Chum Chum's Ultra Ninja, which he accidentally broke.

He wore the disguise yet again in "GameBoy", this time as a nurse from the "Video Game Disease Control Center". He says he needs to have the Chimp Chomp game due to it having "Digital Monkey Fungus" but fails to the game being vaccinated last month.

In "Robo-mance", he wore the costume during the nurse's office scene of the episode's titular song.

Other disguises

In "GameBoy", Fanboy is shown to go through a variety of disguises since Boog's house is next to a costume shop. He poses as, in order, a repairman, an old lady, a prom kid, a sad young child, a meter reader, a security guard, and a city controller.

Lenny

Lenny doesn't like Fanboy AT ALL. In fact, his hatred is so intense that he risks travelling back in time to prevent him from ever meeting the duo. His job is made constantly worse by having to clean Fanboy's countless messes. All his attempts to have a relaxing day are squandered whenever Fanboy kicks down the door. From ice-monsters to robots, he's guaranteed a long session of stress-twitches. On the other end, Fanboy is oblivious to Lenny's contempt and so ends up annoying him constantly.

Oz

As Fanboy's second-best friend, Oz always tags along on Fanboy's advice route. He lives next door to the Fanlair at Oz Comix, his comic store. Fanboy goes there often, and he and Chum Chum will come to Oz for advice. In The Hard Sell, he (along with Chum Chum) was trying to help prevent the store from being turned into a frozen yogurt shop. In Risky Brizness he also helped Oz protect his Man-arctica comic from his cousin Brizwald. He also once went inside Oz's mind, with help from Dollarnator, to find out why he started selling his comics.

Whilst Oz is still his friend, he is very competitive towards video game, and as such to a point, he would do his sweaty best to never be defeated by Fanboy in Gwimbly All-Stars Brawl, at any cost. This aspect was shown in 'It's Just a Game, Bro'.

Sigmund

Fanboy is a big fan of Sigmund the Sorcerer. He and Chum Chum watch his TV show every week. When they first met him, Fanboy was super excited and talked to him rapidly.

Enemies

Boog

Boog is nothing short of a bully, tormenting Fanboy for fun and sometimes beating him to Beethoven! He just can't stop his constant bopping, and just likes to see him scream. But he eventually calms down once in a while and helps Fanboy sometimes, like when they pranked Yo in the episode Prank Master. As shown in Back From The Future, when he first came to the Frosty Mart, Boog wasn't a bully, and he usually just followed the rule of B.O.P. (Bring Out Products). Now, he's bop happy.

Marsha

Marsha is, without a doubt, Fanboy’s worst enemy. It was revealed in “Marsha, Marsha, Marsha” that Fanboy accidentally ruined her assignment by sneezing on it; and it made her score so low that her former teacher sent her back to preschool. She also had a BURNING desire to literally ANNIHILATE Fanboy. For this reason, he is scared of Marsha.

Love Interests

Yo

Before Fanboy decided to go gay, he had feelings for Yo, due to her being the only female friend her age who looked conventionally attractive enough but she doesn't really care about his affection, and friend zoned him regardless. He once made an advance to date her but she would make sure that it'll be the first and last time he would try to ask out a girl.

She was much too busy trying to become Chum Chum's wife.

Kyle

Despite being "enemies", well by Kyle. Fanboy certainly more successful building a closer relationship than than Yo. He even got a kiss, but Kyle is still very much a wallflower and is disgusted by the prospect of being in romance with Fanboy.

• Fanboy has a glass eye due to having Chum Chum accidentally poke one of his eyes out when they were in preschool.
